Generally, for a residential solar station, like the Solar Station HX, the standard sizing for the pump starts from ¾ inch. For commercial applications, the Solar Station XL has a minimum pipe size of 1 inch and the Solar Station XXL has a minimum pipe size of 1 ½ inch. How Do You Calculate the Pipe Size for a SunEarth Pump Station?
SunEarth has four basic types of pump stations. These four different types include the Solar Station, Solar Station HX, Solar Station XL, and the Solar Station XXL. The Solar Station is designed for residential use, and it uses 1 to 3 solar collectors. The pipe size for the Solar Station generally ranges from ½ inch to ¾ inch in a copper material to handle the 1 to 3 collectors. The Solar Station HX is primarily used for larger residential applications, and it is designed for 3 to 4 solar collectors. The pipe size is generally ¾ inch in copper. The Solar Station XL is used for commercial applications no larger than 720 sq ft. The pipe sizing for these solar stations range from 1 inch to 2 inches. The Solar Station XXL is designed for commercial projects ranging from 720 square feet to 3,000 square feet. The minimum pipe size is 1 ½ inches and it ranges to 3 inches.
