SunEarth Supports 2019 Solar + Storage Lobby Day

In 2017, SunEarth had the honor of being amongst the Approximately 150 solar and storage workers from 80 businesses across the state converged on the California state capitol to meet with their legislative representatives and urge continued support of local solar and energy storage policies.

In 2018, SunEarth was amongst those at Lobby Day that helped save and expand the SGIP storage rebate.

This year, SunEarth, along with solar companies from across California, will gather to do the same at the 2019 Solar + Storage Lobby Day in Sacramento. Organized by the California Solar and Storage Association (CALSSA). However, in true fashion, things are getting even bigger this year.

This year we’re going big and celebrating achieving the Million Solar Roofs milestone, while also communicating to lawmakers and influencers the ways that SOLAR work continues to benefit our communities. This year’s event includes meetings with elected officials, a booth fair and product trainings on the North Lawn of the Capitol.

So What Will Happen?

SunEarth and industry colleagues will meet with key staffers who are subject matter experts and help legislators prepare for their committee work. Groups like CALSSA develop strong relationships with these key staffers to ensure the legislator has the data they need to make decisions in key areas like the Investment Tax Credit or other legislation of concern to the solar industry.

Legislators want to hear how constituents are benefitting from the legislative process. If you can make it to Sacramento, California on Wednesday, August 21st ,  to make your voice heard it helps you, your company, and the industry. Register with CALSSA for Solar + Storage Lobby Day here.

T-shirts, orientation, lunch, and an afternoon reception will be provided.
