SunEarth’s adjustable PV mounting clamps are the ideal solution for securing photovoltaic modules to our Solar Strut mounting rails. Clamps are available in clear and bronze with color matched stainless steel fasteners and can be adapted to a wide variety of module thicknesses.

SE PV CLAMPS Introduction

Most PV racking systems on the market today utilize dual strut style runners underneath rows of PV modules. Top-side clips are then used to attach the PV modules to the runners.

Though similar in look to others the SE Mid and END Clamp do away with having to pre slot your nut on installations, are designed for optimal form and function to accommodate varied site specific conditions, and engineered using high quality extruded aluminum.

Anatomy of the SE PV Clamps

The SE PV Clamp system has two distinct components a mid clamp and end clamp.

Mid PV Clamp Assembly: Clamp comprised of 6063-T6 Anodized Aluminum Extrusion, hardware includes 5/16”X18 18-8 Stainless Steel Button Head Socket Head Cap Screw with 5/16” Stainless Steel Flat Washer and Stainless Steel Sintered Strut Nut. Assembly attaches to 6063-T6 Anodized Aluminum Extrusion Solar Strut.

End PV Clamp Assembly: Clamps compromised of 6063-T6 Anodized Aluminum Extrusion, hardware includes 5/16”X18 18-8 Stainless Steel Button Head Socket Head Cap Screw with 5/16” Stainless Steel Flat Washer and Stainless Steel Sintered Strut Nut. Assembly attaches to 6063-T6 Anodized Aluminum Extrusion Solar Strut.

PV Mid Clamp Stress analysis

SE PV Clamps are designed to provide the optimal blend of appearance, mechanical integrity and cost effectiveness. This structural integrity does not come, however, at the expense of added material cost. SE PV Clamps have been designed with the assistance of computer-based finite element analysis to locate more material where the clamp will be stressed and remove it from sections where it serves no purpose. The incorporation of all stainless steel fasteners provides the assurance that SE PV Clamps will maintain its strength over the life of the system in even the most adverse environments. This optimization of design elements makes SE PV Clamps attractive, strong, durable, and cost effective.
